We're delighted to have taken first place overall in MiniJam134 and plan to celebrate by releasing a couple of updates to Boggling Isles in the near future! Follow our accounts or check back later for the updated experience - planned features include double-word-score islands and more island placements in free-play mode as well the normal selection of bugfixes and quality-of-life improvements.

Find the words among wave-washed islands in this relaxing, boggle-inspired puzzle game. Boggling Isles was made by TheJackOfClubs and Kelp Games over 72 hours for MiniJam 134. The jam's optional theme was "Islands2" and the restriction (compulsory) was "On a Grid."

Controls: The game is entirely mouse-based.

Really addictive game

this is superb! you totally deserve first place! mua! kisses

imo you need to add the score meter somewhere even when the island picker on the left is open, because if I try to connect as many words as I can with as few islands as possible, I am always shown the island picker, but I don't know anymore how many points I am still missing to win

We're glad you liked it Nihilistas, we'll make it clear how many points you need to win even when the island picker is open in our first patch.

Really fun game! I found it very hard until I figured out you could connect diagonally. Then I could get to 202 by trial and error.

Thanks for playing! Your comment made me realise that we never explained in the tutorial exactly how the connections can be made, so very helpful to point it out (we've added a couple of screenshots which hopefully point in the right direction.) Glad you liked the game!
